The blend is made based on harvest volumes per grape from a small vineyard. In 2019 it was 54% Barbera, 45% Nebbiolo and 1% unknown white grapes. Barbera gives the wild and the animal, Nebbiolo the refinement, and the white grapes the seed. Vinification in sandstone, so it also comes out of the bottle when young. The dark fruit speaks volumes.
