A stately yet refined Gewurztraminer from the Grand Cru at Kirchberg de Barr. Planted on marl & limestone soils this cuvée balances minerality, ripeness & tension. What we have is a fascinating pairing wine, there remains 14g/l of residual sugar which is well balance by acidity. The wine has undergone malolactic fermentation, which paired with residual sugar offers a rich almost oily mouthfeel. This cuvée is medium-rich but tastefully done. Expect notes of Mango, peach core, noyau, it is floral but restrained, with a finish on pithy lemon.
