Morillon Vom Opok 2019, Weingut Werlitsch

100% Chardonnay from Opok soil, aged for two years in wooden barrels of different ages and sizes. In the nose it is reminiscent of smoked vanilla and toasted bread, but the tight acidity (lemons!) and the green notes (dill, coriander, capers) in the taste make this a strange but mega energetic cocktail. It has the earthiness of Opok and the warmth of Chardonnay, but above all it has the electric charge of Werlitsch.
