It pours a near glowing garnet-orange. The allure continues on to the nose where we have begun to pass to immediate tertiary elements; Dried figs, perilla, truffle, brown sugar, some tobacco. Fascinating because it is presented in a light? style. We expect more structure, but it has softened away with its years in bottle. The result is something that is complex aromatically, with angular yet soft structure and lifted acidity. The palate has almost cranberry-like tang, it is rich in fruit and packed with umami reminiscent of plum wine. A wine for the fans of pronounced acidity.
