Collection: Jérôme Lambert

In the heart of the Coteaux-du-Layon terroir, Jérôme Lambert gradually became a winemaker in the 2000s, but above all, he is an authentic farmer closely connected to the life of plants and animals. This attentive and demanding love is evident in his cuvées, where the word "nature" takes on its true meaning.

As a true farmer-winemaker, Jérôme Lambert tends to his vines, vegetable garden, and farm animals with the same extreme care. He began making wine in the 2000s, but it took several years to establish a small vineyard of 6 hectares and set up his cellar. Located in Anjou at the heart of Coteaux-du-Layon in Rablay-sur-Layon, he primarily cultivates Chenin, with a touch of Grolleau and Gamay. The dry whites result from various grape harvests – about a week apart, depending on the fullness of maturity – giving rise, in order, to the cuvée Coulée de Source.

When botrytis brings forth "noble rot," Chenin produces luscious sweet whites such as Les Entre-Cœurs or Du Bout des Lèvres. The rejection of any inputs in the vineyard and cellar, along with the meticulous demand it entails, shapes wines of perfect frankness and naturalness – a pure expression of the terroir and the characteristics of the vintage.

But even more importantly, Jérome is one of the rare people to offer such a warm welcome you can't help but stay at the cellar for a day, he quickly became a friend and this warmth carries through all of his wines.
